Our survey methods are particularly well suited to bringing ever greater precision to volume measurement.
Laser scanner surveys are particularly well suited to the challenges of volume measurement.
On the ground, relatively few instrument stations are needed to capture the material to be measured. The survey is quick because a reasonably low density of points (for example one point per 5 cm) is sufficient for this type of survey. Dangerous operations are not needed on the ground because the measurement can be done at a distance.
The processing which follows is simple and quick. The results are reliable and accurate, because they take account of all the complexity of the object by means of a 3D mesh (triangular irregular network) of sufficient density. |
